STARS is a non-profit, travel agent organization representing the individual travel professional. STARS only accepts those travel agents possessing designations from CLIA and THE TRAVEL INSTITUTE and a continuous desire to improve their training and education. STARS agents must subject themselves to background checks, work under a strict code of ethics and wish to be recognized as Certified Travel Professionals. STARS accepts individuals in the process of obtaining their CLIA and TRAVEL INSTITUTE designations

• We shall be diligent in striving to present a professional image and appearance whenever in the company of or working with clients or colleagues.

• We shall recognize a responsibility to participate in activities contributing to the advancement of knowledge and betterment of the industry and its legitimate representative societies.

• We shall uphold the standards of the industry by being honest in all professional interactions and subscribe to enhancing the public image and reputation of services provided.

• We shall respect the rights of clients, colleagues and other travel professionals and safeguard their confidences and privacy.

• We shall continue to increase personal knowledge of the industry with a commitment to remain current relative to information provided to clients and the general public.

• We shall be dedicated to providing competent honest service and consultation at all times.

• We shall recognize that the primary goal of our business is to facilitate travel and leisure arrangements for others and not to be in the industry for the self-serving expectation of personal travel privileges for ourselves.
